CFTC staff grants no-action relief to passive software providers

CFTC Market Participants Division staff issued a no-action position for providers of passive trading software. Subject to specified conditions, staff said it will not recommend enforcement solely for failure to register as an introducing broker or associated person for the covered software activity.
