CFTC adopts 30% presumption for whistleblower awards up to $5 million

The CFTC approved a final rule creating a 30% presumption for whistleblower awards of $5 million or less, subject to Commission discretion and regulatory factors. The agency said the change is intended to make award processing more efficient, transparent and predictable. The rule is scheduled to take effect 30 days after publication in the Federal Register.
