U.S. CPI rose 0.3% in December; annual rate at 2.7%

BLS reported headline consumer prices rose 0.3% in December and rose 2.7% over 12 months. Core CPI, excluding food and energy, rose 0.2% on the month and rose 2.6% over the year.
