Outdoor recreation contributed $639.5 billion, 2.3% of U.S. GDP in 2023

BEA reported the outdoor recreation economy generated $639.5 billion of value added in 2023, equal to 2.3% of current-dollar U.S. GDP. The release also includes state-level estimates.
